Do you get a crown when you get a root canal done or are they 2 seperate procedures?

Answer:
The three procedures are all billed separately.. Root Canal Therapy, Post + Core buildup, and Crown. Those are the 3 standard procedures for treating a restorable tooth with an infected / necrotic nerve from start to finish.Hope this helps.
Usually 2 separate procedures. They do the root canal then place a temporary on top. You usually come back and have the permanent crown applied.
Usually done in 2 visits
"thddspc" is quite correct but there are more than 3 separate procedures. This involves the RCT (root canal therapy), placement of the post and the shaping and buildup of the remaining tooth, then impressions are taken for the making of the crown and a temporary crown is applied. In 2-3 weeks, you return for the placement of the permanent crown but this is included.
