Do metal braces cut you a lot?

Please Help! im getting braces very soon..
Answer:
They will when you first get them, for the first few days it will be painful. Your mouth will toughen up quite quickly though.Remember to keep hydrated, use the dental wax for sores and dose up on painkillers. The more hydrated your mouth is, the quicker it will 'toughen up'.
They will when you first get them. I got them on a Friday and the pain stopped by Tuesday so only for a little while.
no you get used to them. if you have teeth protruding your lips, that may hurt a bit but it only gives you small cuts for the first few days otherwise
no god no only the frist few days u get them but them u just keep wishing to get them of lol rofl (cant wait to get mine off)
They have a tendency to rub and cut, yes. However, the orthodontist will give you wax to stop it from happening. You just break off a little rubbery chunk and apply it to the area that is rubbing. Hope this helps and good luck!
i had braces for four years and just recently got them off. I never had a problem with getting cut but when they get put on or tightened your teeth are sore for a while. also the glue they apply the brackets with tastes and smells terrible...
well i think there just like other braces!
i mean, if they do cut u put the wax on so it wont cut u!
okay!
When you first get your braces put on, your mouth will be cut up but thats just becasue the inside of your cheeks and lips aren't used to the braces being in your mouth. After a while it won't be too bad but occasionally you will still get little cuts but nothing as bad as when they are first put on.Hope i helped. :]
